The OGC will be raising money Saturday, Aug. 30, Sunday, Aug. 31 and Monday, Sept. 1 for its fund to support our troops in Iraq, Afghanistan and wherever they travel in harm’s way.

Many of you have already contributed to the fund and are sporting the OGC Support our Troops tag on your golf bags. But many other OGC members have not yet made a contribution. This weekend is the time to do it so bring your checkbook or your cash to the golf course. All of you who come up big winners in your friendly foursome battles this weekend should come up big for our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines. And you losers will feel better about your golf by tying a Support Our Troops tag to your bag.

OGC volunteers will be greeting you at the front door of the pro shop this weekend. In 2007 the OGC with your help donated $3,500 to a soldier who lost both legs in Iraq. We hope to do as much for another serviceman or woman in 2008.
