OGC vs Glenview in the 2008 GO Cup
Dear OGC Members We will be competing against the Glenview Men's Club in our annual inter club match on September 13th and 14th this year. We will play Saturday at Wilmette and Sunday at Glenview both starting approximately 11am. The format is agreed upon handicap groupings with 9 partners matches on Saturday and 18 singles matches on Sunday. Our criteria for selecting players for the event will be based on participation and success in club events, particularly match play and club championship. In the past years about half the participants were first time players. We will continue to encourage new faces to participate as the committee selects by merit. Please contact any of the committee members listed below if you have any questions or interest in participating. This is a team competition and for those of you that know anything about the Ryder Cup --- this sort of competition can make your heart pound a bit --- it lets you know you're alive --- it's great fun.
